About Us

Who We Are

We are a community of faith that ministers to the entire family, with an emphasis on children and youth. GNBC is a church that meets you right where you are. Whether you have been around church your entire life, or are just curious about church and God, you are welcome here. Our hope is that you will take the next step into this community. Be with us this Sunday and experience GNBC for yourself. As you do, you will begin to see that Great Neck Baptist Church is more than just a gathering place. GNBC is a community of people led by Christ to bring hope, strength, and change to the world one life at a time.

Our Purpose

GNBC exists to bring people into a knowing and growing relationship with Jesus Christ (Matt. 22:36-40,28:18-20).

Our Worship Style

Sundays at 10:55 am is our blended service. Our music is blended with a combination of hymns as well as praise choruses. Our music is accented with a choir, praise team and worship band.  Life-stage appropriate classes that allow for Biblical discussion and community are found in our Adult Bible Fellowship classes on Sundays at 9:45am.

What To Expect

Everyone that comes can expect to be in an environment of friendly people who care for each other and want to grow in their Christian life. At Great Neck Baptist we believe that “God looks at the heart,” so we do not want to major on minors when it comes to the way we dress. You will find some people in suits and dresses, and some in T-shirts and jeans, but the typical attire is business casual.

Statement of Faith

The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. The Church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message (BFM) as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963 and updated by the BFM in 2000. The church adopts “The Baptist Faith and Message 2000.” We band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind. The ordinances of the Church are baptism and The Lord’s Supper.
