Basketball

Our sports teach the fundamentals of the sport while aiming to teach good sportsmanship using Biblical principles. 

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is a unique experience for children of all skill levels. First and foremost, we are a ministry that aims to provide children with a Christ-centered sports opportunity. All participants will be taught spots skills and values while being provided equal playing time. Great Neck Baptist Upward Basketball features one hour-long weeknight practice and one Saturday game per week.

Early registration opens on September 5 and will close on September 30. After early regsitration, there is a price increase. Regular registration will end on November 10.

Basketball

1st Grade: Co-ed

2nd-3rd: Co-ed

4th-6th Grade: Boys

4th-6th Grade: Girls

7th-12th Grade: Girls (This division will be split up as necessary, depending on the number of registrations in each grade).

7th-10th Grade: Boys (or up to age 16)

Cheer

1st grade-12th Girls (split into squads based on grades)

Evaluations will take place in November with practices beginning in December. The first game is January 13, 2024.

We are very excited to, once again, offer Upward Volleyball this year. This year, volleyball is open to girls in grades 5th-12th. Evaluations and practices begin in August with games beginning in September. The season runs through October 28.
